North Country Festival of Trees Set for December

The 24th North Country Festival of Trees will be held December 4 to December 6, at the Queensbury Hotel, 88 Ridge Street, Glens Falls. The festive holiday event will kick off the holiday season with the Jingle Bell Jubilee, featuring music by The Refrigerators, on December 3. The North Country Festival or Trees and the Jingle Bell Jubilee will also be highlighted on a new float entered in the Post Star Holiday Parade on November 22. The Jubilee and Festival of Trees benefit Prospect Center, a division of the Center for Disability Services.

In December, the elegant hotel will be transformed with hundreds of exquisitely decorated trees, wreaths, centerpieces, mantle decorations, stockings and gingerbread houses on display and available for purchase. The family friendly weekend includes the Children’s Wonderland, the opportunity for Breakfast with Santa and the Sugar Plum Ball. Local performers will be on hand to entertain the crowd. Shoppers will find a variety of unique, homemade items created by local artisans. The festival’s commemorative ornaments feature a North Country moose or buck, decorated with jingle bells.

North Country Festival of Trees admission is $7 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and $3 for children 12 years of age and under. Hours are Friday, December 4, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, December 5, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, December 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
