August 11, 2015Niskayuna Community Foundation Day of Service and Celebration
The Niskayuna Community Foundation is proud to celebrate its 15th anniversary by hosting a community-wide day of service on September 26. Members of the community are invited to support wonderful local organizations and join in the fun! In one productive day, volunteers will complete 15 community service projects for not-for-profit organizations that serve Niskayuna residents: including Big Brothers Big Sisters, miSci, and The Child Advocacy Center. The day will begin with volunteer registration at Niskayuna Town Hall at 8 a.m.; participants will meet service captains, receive event T-shirts, enjoy light refreshments and head out to service sites. Most sites will host volunteers from 9 a.m. – 12 noon, but there are also volunteer opportunities from 1 – 4 p.m. To volunteer, please pre-register on the website niskayunacf.org.
After a day of fulfilling work, the community will come back together in celebration of Niskayuna spirit with a fundraiser at LT’s Grill from 7 – 10:30 p.m. with tickets available for $40 per person starting September 1. Instructions for purchasing tickets will be available on niskayunacf.org.
