September 5, 2019New York State CTE Survey for Business/Industry Partners
The New York State Education Department’s Office of Career and Technical Education is developing a four-year state plan to improve career and technical education program quality. Career and Technical Education (CTE) is comprised of courses and programs in the content areas of: agricultural education; business and marketing education; family and consumer sciences education; health sciences education; technology education; and, trade and technical education. This survey seeks to solicit feedback and recommendations from the business community regarding the alignment of secondary (high school) education programs with workforce needs and work-based learning opportunities for secondary students.
The Successful Practices Network has been asked to help by the NYS Education Department to gather input from business and industry representatives.
