A New Partnership at SCCC with Bellevue University

The Chamber was fortunate enough to be part of the ribbon cutting ceremony with Schenectady County Community College and it’s new online partner Bellevue University.
The new partnership will offer SUNY Schenectady County Community College students the opportunity to continue their education beyond an associate’s degree at one of the nation’s leaders in preparing students for lifelong career success with career-relevant knowledge and skills. Students will be able to transfer of all of their college credits, including full associate’s degrees, toward accelerated, online bachelor’s and master’s degrees in their chosen career field.
“Bellevue University is one of the nation’s top four-year universities for creating pathways to support community colleges,” said Dr.Steady Moono, President of SUNY Schenectady County Community College. “We’re excited to be a part of Bellevue University’s network of more than 50 community colleges. Jim Grotrian, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for Bellevue University added, “Bellevue University is committed to helping SUNY Schenectady County Community College students achieve their educational goals and become leaders here in Schenectady.”
Bellevue University’s local SUNY Schenectady County Community College Relationship Manager Budhan Ramcharan will host a Grand Opening and information session on October 12, 2017, from 10am-12pm on the SUNY Schenectady County Community College campus located at 78 Washington Avenue, Schenectady, NY 12305. Students who attend the Grand Opening can enter to win one of two $1,000 grants, which can be applied to a degree at Bellevue University. Free refreshments will also be provided to all attendees.
