Nemer Volkswagen proudly celebrated the grand opening of its new dealership at 2240 Central Avenue, on the Albany/Schenectady County border, with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Capital Region Chamber. The event marked the start of an exciting new chapter for the Nemer family, a trusted name in the Capital Region’s automotive industry for more than five decades.
Over several generations, the Nemer family has expanded their dealership network and built a reputation for providing quality vehicles and outstanding customer service. Their continued growth and commitment to the community led to the acquisition of this additional Volkswagen dealership, further broadening their reach and enhancing the options available to Capital Region drivers.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by Chamber staff, Ambassadors, and the Nemer team, along with representatives from Volkswagen, the New York State Automobile Dealers’ Association (NYSADA), and local elected officials. Customers, friends, and community members also joined to show their support and celebrate the milestone.
During the event, Robert Vancavage, President of the New York State Automobile Dealers’ Association, praised the Nemer family’s long-standing commitment to excellence in the automotive field. The highlight of the ceremony came as General Manager Anna Halpin, joined by Eric and Josh Nemer, Chamber representatives, staff, and friends, cut the ceremonial ribbon to officially open the new dealership.
