NBT Bank Promotes Alan Alexander to Senior Commercial Banking Executive for Eastern New York

NBT Bank President of Commercial Banking Al Testa announced the promotion of Alan Alexander to Senior Commercial Banking Executive for Eastern New York.

In this expanded role, Alexander is responsible for overseeing NBT’s commercial banking teams from the North Country to the Hudson Valley. This includes the Capital Region, where he has served as Regional Commercial Banking Manager since 2022. Alexander is based at NBT Bank’s Eastern New York Regional Headquarters at 677 Broadway in Albany.

“Alan’s collaborative approach and deep expertise will build on the strength of our team and enhance our Eastern New York customers’ experience,” said Al Testa, President of Commercial Banking at NBT Bank. “His unwavering commitment to our commercial clients has distinguished Alan as a key contributor to NBT’s New York team, and I am confident he will continue to have a meaningful impact in this expanded role.”

Alexander brings more than 30 years of experience to his new role. He joined NBT bank over a decade ago and is a graduate of NBT’s signature Emerging Leaders and Star Impact development programs. He also serves as chair NBT’s Inclusion Roundtable. Alexander earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business and his MBA in finance from University at Albany.

Active in his community, Alexander is the Board Treasurer for the Advance Albany County Alliance, Board Chairman for the Albany County Business Development Corporation and Board Member for United Way of the Greater Capital Region.
