National Law Firm Forgoes Holiday Party to Give Back to Its Communities

While the holidays allow family, friends and co-workers to celebrate the season, there are those less fortunate who long for something to bring smiles to the faces of their children. Tully Rinckey PLLC is doing something about that.

The nationwide law firm has selected nine charities – one each in the communities it serves – to donate money for their holiday drives. Ordinarily, the money would have gone towards the firm’s annual office holiday parties, but Tully Rinckey PLLC Founding Partners Mathew B. Tully, Esq. and Greg T. Rinckey, Esq. wanted to give families in need a holiday they can remember.

“It’s important for us to help those in need and our firm has built in giving and philanthropic initiatives into our business model” said Greg Rinckey. “As attorneys we are able to see firsthand what the needs are in our local communities, the holidays are a great time of year to give back.”

The charities Tully Rinckey PLLC has chosen are as follows:

  • Albany, NY –Cardiac Kids
  • Austin and Houston, Texas –Austin Young Lawyers Association’s 35th Annual Holiday Baskets Project/AYLA Reindeer Games
  • Binghamton, NY –Family Enrichment Network
  • Buffalo, NY –Child and Family Services of Western New York
  • New York City –Salvation Army Angel Tree
  • Rochester, NY –YWCA of Rochester & Monroe County
  • San Diego, CA –Bells of Freedom
  • Syracuse, NY– PEACE, Inc. Adopt-a-Family
  • Washington, D.C. –Edgewood/Brookland Family Support Collaborative

This is the latest charitable initiative for Tully Rinckey PLLC. Past charitable efforts include the law firm’s Jeans and Sneakers program, where attorneys and staff members donate a dollar for every pair of jeans and every pair of sneakers they wear to work on Fridays, and its annual Turkeys for Vets program, where for the past nine years the firm distributes free turkeys to veterans and active military personnel at its Albany, Binghamton and Syracuse offices. The owners of Tully Rinckey PLLC founded the Tully Rinckey Foundation which hosts the annual the Veterans in Economic Transition Conference (VETCON), which assists veterans with joining the workforce or starting their own businesses.

The Tully Rinckey team will be donating to the above mentioned organizations this week and hosting its holiday party on Friday, December 15.
