National Bank of Coxsackie donates to Mohawk Hudson Humane Society

The National Bank of Coxsackie (“NBC”) presented the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society with a donation in support of their mission to continue transforming the lives of animals and people through partnerships, protection, and hope. The funds were secured through the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York Small Business Recovery Grant Program. NBC is a member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York and applied for the funds made available through this special program,

Founded in 1887, the Mohawk Hudson Human Society is the oldest and largest animal protection organization in New York’s Capital Region. In addition to providing shelter and care for stray, abused, and unwanted animals, the shelter also provides services for those who care for them. Their team of volunteers provide over 21,000 hours of their time per year.

“We are proud to be able to offer support to Mohawk Hudson Humane Society” John Balli, NBC Chief Executive Officer said.  “The efforts and support they provide not only to affected animals, but the people who care for them is a truly touching story.”

“We are overwhelmed by the generosity of National Bank of Coxsackie,” said Mohawk Hudson Humane Society Vice President for Development Whitney Philippi. “Grants like this allow MHHS to expand our programs and serve more animals and people within our community. Thank you to the leadership of NBC for this opportunity.”
