M&T Remodels State Street Branch

M&T Bank announced its remodel of the Downtown Albany branch, located at 80 State St., has been completed. It debuted the renovated location at a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Capital Region Chamber on Tuesday, June 25.

The branch underwent extensive renovations, including new flooring, LED lighting, technology and furniture. Additionally, the floor plan was opened up and modernized with new teller lines, redesigned front vestibules and customer seating areas.

The renovations began in mid-January and were completed in mid-May. The branch remained open throughout the renovation period, giving customers uninterrupted access to M&T’s full suite of services.

“The renovation of our branch demonstrates M&T Bank’s long-term commitment to Albany and our customers,” said M&T Bank’s Market President Beth Beshaw. “I am thrilled that we can provide our customers with a new look that’s bright, warm and welcoming. I encourage all to stop by and enjoy our new look.”

“When businesses invest in their operations and grow their presence, it’s a sign our local economy is strong and growing stronger,” said Mark Eagan, President and CEO of the Capital Region Chamber, who served as master of ceremony for the ribbon-cutting event. “M&T Bank’s investment in its downtown Albany location adds fuel to our collective push for greater economic prosperity in the Capital Region.”

Local elected officials, M&T employees and many of its customers gathered to celebrate the official unveiling of the remodeled State Street branch, which has supported the downtown community for more than 20 years, providing banking services to residents and workers.

M&T Bank has 12 branches in the Capital District and maintains a regional headquarters – providing local management, administrative and charitable support – at Great Oaks Office Park in Albany.
