Momentive Performance Materials 
has been in Waterford for 75 years, and they held a grand celebration of past, present and future in late October on the grounds of this venerable silicone products manufacturing facility. Often overlooked in the high tech craze of today, Momentive is the glue that holds our future together…. often quite literally, making a wide range of products ranging from sealants and glues used in spacecraft and high-rise buildings to additives used in cosmetics, automobiles, household products and so much more. Waterford Mayor J. Bert Mahoney, Halfmoon Supervisor Tollisen, and Stillwater Mayor Judy Wood-Shaw joined the Capital Region Chamber in a tour of the facilities and the festivities which involved many retirees of the company as well as current employees.
