Mohawk Hudson Humane Society Welcomes Whitney Philippi, Vice President for Development

Whitney Philippi has joined the Mohawk Humane Society as vice president for development. Philippi leads the development and marketing team in building and deepening relationships with individuals and organizations who care about the mission of the Humane Society: to enrich the lives of animals and the people who love them.

In her previous role as director of advancement at Loudonville Christian School, Philippi built a fundraising program which allowed the school to increase financial aid awards, upgrade facilities and grow educational programs. She developed a student internship program that placed high school students in competitive internships throughout the Capital Region. Prior to that, she served as assistant general manager with the Franklin Hospitality Group. In both roles, she was successful in consistently creating the social capital key to building trust, reciprocity and cooperation necessary for an effective nonprofit leader and community servant.

Philippi serves as the Campus Connect Co-Chair of the Young Professionals’ Network (YPN) and is passionate about connecting bright students with local businesses and investing in the future of the Capital Region community.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University and will graduate from the UAlbany Executive MBA Program in May 2021.
