Mindful Munchkins Academy 1 Year Anniversary

Owners Jason and Tykarah Wade cut an anniversary ribbon for Mindful Munchkins Academy alongside the Chamber staff and volunteer Ambassadors, with Senator Jim Tedisco and Abby Burke representing Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh. Located in Plaza 8, they provide a wide range of early learning/day care services.

Mindful Munchkins Academy is a minority-owned daycare and early learning center, which celebrated their 1st anniversary in early September with a ribbon cutting with the Capital Region Chamber. The Wade’s began the business to help families like theirs provide an educational childcare experience. The Academy is recently certified for Universal pre-Kindergarten and seeks to bring a language and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) focused education to these kids. Jason, a network engineer, and Tykarah, a midwife with ten years of preschool teaching experience, combined their expertise and love for children to create a unique educational environment. They chose Clifton Park as the perfect location to launch Mindful Munchkins Academy due to its vibrant community and commitment to quality education. Children are introduced to Spanish and Sign Language, broadening their horizons and enhancing their communication skills. Mindful Munchkins Academy partners with the Shenendehowa Central Schools both for UPK and to make their services accessible to lower-income families by accepting subsidized tuition.
