August 15, 2017Michael DeGironimo Promoted to Vice President of Claims at Preferred Mutual
Michael (Mike) DeGironimo has been promoted to Vice President of Claims at Preferred Mutual Insurance Company (“Preferred Mutual”). In his new role, DeGironimo is responsible for the Claims vision and strategy across multiple products (Property, Auto, and Liability), developing and maintaining the superior service culture Preferred Mutual is known for, and managing claims servicing, risk and costs.
DeGironimo has worked in the insurance industry for more than 28 years, and started his career with Preferred Mutual in 2002 as a Claims Representative. He has worked in various roles across Claims including managing No-Fault, Auto PD, Property Claims, and Field Operations. Throughout his tenure at Preferred Mutual, DeGironimo has been instrumental in advancing Preferred Mutual’s claims capabilities and building a Claims Department that delivers a superior customer service experience.

DeGironimo earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York, College of Arts & Sciences at Plattsburgh. He holds the Associate in Claims (AIC), Associate in Insurance Services (AIS), and Senior Claim Law Associate (SCLA) designations.
