In 1895, Brian Merriam’s great grandfather, Charles Merriam, founded Merriam Insurance, a privately held independent brokerage and one of the oldest continuing operating businesses in Schenectady. The award-winning full-service insurance agency provides commercial, personal, and health insurance, as well as employee benefits, to clients across the country through its main office at 376 Broadway in Schenectady, New York. Satellite locations are in Ravena and North Creek, New York, and Colorado Springs, Colorado.
