In this week’s member spotlight, we highlight MLB Construction Services. Established in 1947 by founders McManus, Longe, and Brockwehl, the name was changed to MLB Industries in the mid-70’s and then later to MLB Construction Services.

MLB has expanded along the East Coast and also has an office in Apex, NC. MLB is not only a General Contractor, but they also handle Construction Management, Design-Build, and Development Services.

What’s MLB’s favorite part about working in the Capital Region? “Playing a part in the historical buildings and beautiful architecture along with contributing to the new development and construction projects. The rich history brings people to the Capital Region and MLB gets to play a role in giving them a place to stay; whether it be through a higher education project, apartments, hospitality projects, etc., MLB is proud to be a piece of Capital Regions ever-growing puzzle.”

One of the most recent projects MLB worked on is the new 1863 Club at the Saratoga Race Course. This was proposed as a two-year project that was constructed by MLB, for the owner, in just 9 months! They’re known for delivering complex projects on challenging sites within aggressive schedules and restricted budgets. Fun fact: MLB built the Morocco Pavilion at Epcot Theme Park.

MLB enjoys being a member of the Capital Region Chamber and their Manager of Business Development, Sara Turoczy, has been accepted as a member of the Chamber’s Leadership Tech Valley Class of 2020.
