Ron Villano, M.S., LMHC, ASAC, CCH, founder and Director of Family & Personal Counseling is a nationally known expert, speaker, and author on mental health. He brings a full, well-rounded background into the talk therapy field and has assembled an expert team of like-minded providers.
Ron Villano, M.S., LMHC, ASAC, CCH was a sole practitioner in 1999, and began expanding Family & Personal Counseling in 2011. It is the largest single private counseling practice in New York State.
What differentiates Family & Personal Counseling from its competitors in the private practice counseling field is that many providers are small group or solo. This means that they are in session when most perspective patients call. Most private practice settings have limited openings. Family & Personal Counseling employs over 50 people, over 35 therapists, full team of administrators, and can offer day, evening, weekend, and even same day session appointments in a home like environment. Because they have been virtually operated (pre-pandemic); they can answer phones and offer appointments on one phone call.
Ron noted that a benefit to connecting with the Capital Region is the Telehealth mental health counseling. Telehealth has allowed his practice to offer appointments all throughout New York State. “The Capital Region Chamber has been inviting, accommodating and ready to help us continue our outreach to all those who need guidance, especially during these difficult times.”
