Member Spotlight: COX Marketing Solutions

In this week’s member spotlight we spoke with Rita Cox, Founder, COX Marketing Solutions.

When asked what inspired her to open COX Marketing, Rita said she was “troubled by the number of business owners I spoke with who didn’t have a strategic marketing plan aligned with their company’s vision. Others weren’t sure if their marketing efforts were working. Cox Marketing Solutions was founded because I wanted to use my strategic, holistic approach to help small- and mid-sized businesses find the solutions they need.”

Cox went on to say that she’s always been passionate about marketing and helping businesses grow.  “Today’s business owners often don’t have the time and experience to navigate today’s complicated marketing landscape. I wanted to bridge that gap as a trusted partner who would help create straightforward, actionable plans, while focusing intently on increasing my clients’ profitability.”

Prior to starting Cox Marketing Solutions, Cox led the marketing efforts of Saratoga Casino Hotel as it progressed from opening in 2004 through multiple expansions culminating in the $200 million company it became thirteen years later. She also led marketing teams at Sony Music, Albany Broadcasting, The Times Union Center, and Special Olympics New York.
