Melissa Jennings Promoted to AVP/Assistant Controller at Ballston Spa National Bank

Jennings 300Melissa Jennings has been promoted to AVP/assistant controller at Ballston Spa National Bank according to Chris Dowd, president and CEO. Ms. Jennings is responsible for administering the accounting systems for the bank, preparing periodic financial reports, and working closely with internal and external auditors.

Ms. Jennings joined BSNB in 2006 as a staff accountant and was most recently promoted to a bank officer in 2013. She earned a degree in business administration from the College of St. Rose.

The Broadalbin resident is an active volunteer for organizations that promote performing arts among youths, she participates in Saratoga County Office for the Aging’s meal delivery program and she is also an active member of Johnstown Reformed Church. Ms. Jennings was recently appointed head of the BSNB Community Support Committee, which helps promote volunteerism among the bank’s employees through the BSNB Volunteers in Action program. In 2015, BSNB staff members donated more than 9,000 volunteer hours through the program.
