Mark Letourneau Receives Joslin Award from NYSID

Mark Letourneau, a full-time employee of Center Commercial Services, part of the Center for Disability Services, is a recipient of a 2017 William B. Joslin Outstanding Performance Award from New York Industries for the Disabled (NYSID). Letourneau operates a mail sorter which processes millions of pieces of mail and ensures quality completion and delivery of NYSID contracts. He primarily has difficulty with coordination and balance. Supervisors say his constant drive to improve has resulted in a daily workout routine and other measures which help him achieve his performance and physical goals. Letourneau is known for perfect attendance at work, his ability to adapt and for having an encouraging attitude. He was honored with a workplace presentation and luncheon on October 12.

Thomas F. Cassidy, Chairperson of the Center Commercial Services Advisory Committee, presented Letourneau with the award certificate. He also received a check and his photo is featured on a 2018 calendar. He was one of 58 nominees from across New York State this year and is the 11th employee from Center Commercial Services to receive a Joslin award.
