September 5, 2024Maria College, St. Peter’s Health Partners to Host 9/11 Health & Wellness Fair
Capital Region residents are invited to experience a transformative day of health and wellness at Maria College’s Health & Wellness Fair on Wed., Sept. 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Marian Hall, 700 New Scotland Ave.
Co-sponsored with St. Peter’s Health Partners, the event will feature free produce from the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, outdoor yoga, virtual reality fitness sessions, and an array of local vendors.
“The event is designed to unite the community and raise awareness about available health resources and services,” explained Maria College Student Success Coordinator Selena Dwarka. “Attendees can enjoy free cider donuts, meet therapy dogs from Hudson Valley Paws for a Cause, and access essential cancer screenings. We’ll also provide social needs screenings, healthcare and daycare information, and a range of self-care activities.”
Vendors include MVP Health Care, Maria College services, MOMS Program, Brightside Up, Baby Café, Jewish Family Services of NENY, Capital District Tobacco Free Communities, Spina Bifida Association of New York State, St. Peter’s School of Nursing, Eddy Alzheimer’s, Bowled, and Albany Neighborhood Naturally Occurring Retirement Community, which helps those over 60 age in place.

This event reflects our commitment to service and hospitality.”
