July 31, 2018Mannix Marketing Names Laura Vecsey Regional Digital Editor
Mannix Marketing (www.mannixmarketing.com) has hired Laura Vecsey as regional digital editor for its Tourism Marketing division, effective immediately. Vecsey will draw upon her decades of experience in writing and her love of the Adirondack North Country to contribute to Mannix’ growing roster of regional guides.
“We are thrilled to have Laura joining the team,” said Tracy Sabattis, director of regional guides at Mannix. “Her extensive journalism experience and passion for local communities will be a wonderful addition to our Tourism Marketing division. We look forward to incorporating her many strengths into our online guides as we continue to expand our regional presence.”
A proud native of New York state, Laura’s career in newspapers and online content has taken her all over the world. She was a news reporter and later a sports columnist for many years in Albany, Seattle and Baltimore, covering the Olympics, Major League Baseball, the NFL, NBA and collegiate sports. She’s also been a political columnist and has worked at online ventures like Examiner.com, Zillow and StreetEasy, developing content around news and real estate sites.
“When I read the job description for content creation, editing and marketing at Mannix, I felt it was written for me,” said Vecsey. “I’m so passionate about Saratoga and the southern Adirondack region that I love finding new ways of sharing information with a broad audience. The client list at Mannix is long and impressive, so working with all these companies—which are such an integral part of our community—feels really good. I’m also very excited to be part of a woman-owned company on the cutting edge of SEO and online marketing, which over the years has created so many dynamic websites and marketing campaigns.”
Vecsey is also a licensed real estate agent and is addicted to home improvement TV shows. When she’s not writing, editing, taking photos and crafting blog posts, she likes to swim, cook, read, hike and walk the dog.
