June 11, 2024Mac & Roni Ribbon Cutting
A new place to try that has been in the works for about seven years, is Mac & Roni, located at 183 Nott Terrace, where Chris Marotta, wife Amber, and their team have built a really interesting, casual Italian restaurant (eat in/take out) that is open on Mondays and has its own free parking lot, which is rare for the downtown area. Featuring bowls that can be filled with a huge combination of pastas, meat and salads, or wraps and other interesting palette-pleasers, Mac & Roni is definitely a destination to visit soon. The modern, airy and attractive building that houses the restaurant was built by Malizia Development, LLC and represents the culmination of a project that began before the Pandemic and had to be adjusted in order to deal with the various challenges of the ensuing years. Everyone was excited to see their hard work come to fruition, and you can enjoy their handiwork six days a week (every day except Sundays).
Cutting this ribbon was all that stood between the attendees and big bowls of pasta awaiting them inside, but it was great to celebrate with Chris Marotta, his wife Amber, members of their family, plus Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation Executive Director Maureen Neufeld, Schenectady Metroplex Executive Director David Hogenkamp, Discover Schenectady Digital Marketing & Media Manager Brianne Ptak-Mimura, plus staff and volunteer Ambassadors of the Capital Region Chamber.
All 2024 ribbon cuttings of the Capital Region Chamber and its affiliates are sponsored by Community Bank, N.A.
