Living Resources Dedicates Their Headquarters to Long Time Leader, Fred Erlich

The Capital Region Chamber was pleased to join Living Resources’ board and staff as they named their headquarters after long-time CEO Fred Erlich to honor his impactful legacy. Many local elected officials, Chamber Ambassadors, past and present staff and volunteers for the organization were all on hand for this tremendous occasion.

When Living Resources began in 1974, individuals with developmental disabilities were often confined to institutional care and there were few opportunities for them to participate meaningfully in their world. Living Resources’ mission was to change that. Its first home opened in Schenectady in 1974 with the vision to help individuals live full, productive, and happy lives. That vision persists, thanks to the innovative leadership of Fred Erlich, CEO since 1981. Living Resources today provides services to almost 2000 families spanning fourteen counties from Warren to Westchester!

Since Living Resources’ beginning, Fred Erlich has been an ardent and effective advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities, always looking for the next needed program or service that could be provided to help individuals lead fully satisfying lives.

The naming of Living Resources Headquarters as the “Fredrick W. Erlich Building” recognizes Fred Erlich’s invaluable and enduring contributions and his many years of service to the agency.
