Living Resources Announces Appointment of New CEO

Last year, Living Resources announced that Fredrick Erlich, their founder and CEO for the past 46 years would be retiring at the end of 2020. With Fred’s retirement pending, Living Resources today announced that Elizabeth Martin has been named their new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2020.
Elizabeth has been the Chief Executive Officer for Consumer Directed Choices, Inc. (CDChoices) since 2012. Under her leadership, CDChoices nearly tripled their revenue, expanded their service area from 5 to 19 counties, and has become one of the largest, most respected fiscal intermediaries for Consumer Directed Personal Assistance (CDPA) in the Capital Region. Prior to her career at CDChoices, Elizabeth was the Director of Administration at the Albany County Department of Social Services.

Elizabeth Martin states, “I look forward to joining this amazing organization that for 46 years has been living their mission to provide programs, services, and supports which allow individuals with developmental disabilities and brain injuries lead their best life. This is an incredible opportunity to continue to build on the legacy created by Fred Erlich and the Living Resources family.”
Elizabeth holds a Master of Arts in Public Policy from SUNY Albany and a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Communications from Ithaca College. Since May 2019, Elizabeth has also served as President of Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Association of NYS. She resides in Delmar with her husband and two daughters.
