Lester Appointed to Schenectady Board of Zoning Appeals

Helene C. Lester, Esq., associate attorney at Albany-based law firm of Deily & Glastetter, LLP, has been appointed to the City of Schenectady Board of Zoning Appeals. The announcement was made recently by Schenectady Mayor, Gary R. McCarthy. She will serve on a four-year term effective immediately.

A native to Niskayuna, Lester is an active member in her community having previously served as a volunteer firefighter for Niskayuna Fire Company, District #2. She has also served as a technical canine search and rescue specialist for FEMA, certified her two bloodhounds (Scout & Elvis) for search and rescue, and has volunteered for the American Red Cross. Lester is a current member of several professional organizations including the Albany County Bar Association and the Capital District Women’s Bar Association.

“I am very excited for this opportunity to serve the city I love,” Lester said.

Lester joined Deily & Glastetter, LLP in 2015 as an associate with the Collections & Replevin departments. Lester handles litigation focusing on retail and commercial collections in State and Federal courts in New York. She also focuses on provisional remedies, enforcement of security interests under the UCC and related statutes, and litigation under consumer protection statutes.
