Once you’ve taken the important steps of setting up a Trust to protect and preserve your assets, then what? How do you manage those assets…or fulfill your obligations as Trustee? Which reports need to be filed? What deadlines need to be met?
On July 18, a free workshop will answer these questions, hosted by leading Capital Region elder law attorneys and CPAs. They will explain the complex work of trust administration in terms you can understand.
The two-hour event, “Trust Administration Workshop,” will be held at the Capital Region Chamber just off Wolf Road in Colonie. Among the topics:
- Managing Trust Assets – choosing the best trust investments and meeting your obligations as Trustee
- Report filing – learn which reports and accountings needed for your trust
- Income tax and Estate tax filings – the scoop on saving taxes and reporting properly
- Fiduciary accounting – how to keep accurate records and account for trust activity
- Deadlines and setting up a reminder system
