KeyBank has named Erica Choi Senior Vice President, Commercial Team Leader for the Capital Region. Choi joined KeyBank in 2020 and most recently served as Senior Commercial Relationship Manager. She has 20 plus years of leadership, business and banking experiences across both the public and private sector.
In her new role, Choi will lead a client-facing, revenue-generating team, focusing on developing relationships in the commercial sector across KeyBank’s Capital Region Market. She will also collaborate with all line of business partners to grow KeyBank’s strong presence and share in the market.

Choi began her career as a U.S. Army intelligence officer, leading a counter-terrorism team in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After completing her time in service, Choi worked in marketing and brand management in the consumer-packaged goods industry. She had P&L responsibility for iconic brands such as Jell-O, A-1 Steak Sauce, and Beech-Nut. Choi then served as an Area Manager for the Small Business Administration for eight years before moving to Bank of America in 2016. There she worked as a commercial associate in support of the middle market line of business, managed 31 branches, then was selected to move back to middle market as a commercial relationship manager.
Choi is active in the community, serving as a Board Director for The McNulty Veteran Business Center and Upstate Capital Association of New York. She also serves as Chair of the Committee for Capital District Young Life. Choi is married with two children and resides in Ballston Lake, NY.
Choi received her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from The United States Military Academy at West Point.
