KeyBank names Earnest area leader, Retail Banking

KeyBank_Harjit_EarnestALBANY, N.Y., June 17, 2015 – KeyBank today announced that Harjit Earnest has been named area leader, Retail Banking, for the Capital Region. She is based in Key’s Capital Region headquarters office at 66 South Pearl Street and is responsible for branch administration and sales management for 12 branches within the Albany area. 

“Harjit brings a long record of high achievement and effective leadership to her new position. I am excited about her role and look forward to many years of success and growth within the Albany area,” said Ruth Mahoney, president, Capital Region Market, KeyBank.

Previously, Earnest served as Greater Dutchess area leader for KeyBank’s Hudson Valley/Metro NY Market. She joined Key in 2012 as vice president and manager of the Capital Region’s Malta branch. Prior to joining Key she worked for M&T Bank in Albany as a commercial branch manager and First Niagara Bank as sales manager. She has more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry.

An active member of the community, Earnest has completed the Leadership Saratoga program and is an Albany Business Review 40 Under 40 honoree. She also serves as a board member for I AM I CAN, and is an active member of the Twin Bridges Leadership Council and Executive Exchange Group of the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce.
