J&T’s Family Cafe Opens in Scotia

On Friday, January 20, the Chamber and local elected officials, family, friends and patrons celebrated the grand opening of J&T’s Family Café. The quaint café sits just outside the Village of Scotia. John Zwack, the owner and chef, had a lifelong dream of opening his own restaurant. John had been working in the restaurant business since he was 12 years old. He started out as a dishwasher and worked his way through the ranks. He worked in Michigan for years, where he managed several restaurants.  John hopes his new restaurant offers quick delicious food, a decent cup of coffee and some of the best homemade soups you will ever taste. John is also known for being accommodating. If you request a certain special or soup, he’ll make sure you have it the next time you visit. John wants you to feel like you’re eating at home. His moto is “Come in as strangers, leave as family.” We’re honored that the Chamber is now part of your family!
