September 21, 2017John Gillis Joins First Choice Loan Services Inc., A Berkshire Bank Company
New Jersey-based residential mortgage lender First Choice Loan Services Inc., a Berkshire Bank Company, announces the addition of John Gillis as Sales Manager based in Middleton, Massachusetts.
Before joining First Choice Loan Services, Gillis served for ten years as a senior loan officer with Mortgage Master.
There are many reasons Gillis decided to make this professional move.
“Throughout my entire career, it’s been extremely important for me to provide my customers with a home loan customized to their financial goals. I know each homebuyer and home owner’s needs are different, so it’s my priority to a boutique-style service when working with their home financing needs. First Choice Loan Services holds these same values which is why this is such a good match,” said Gillis. “Through incorporating strong technological advances that make it a smoother process for everyone involved, First Choice has never lost the personal touch which is something I greatly value. This professional move helps me ensure that my clients are not just a transaction number. With the backing of First Choice, I will continue to be able to provide a personalized mortgage experience for every client.”
With Eastern Massachusetts retail banking locations in addition to commercial, asset-based lending, small business and private banking teams, Berkshire Bank has a number of strong ties in the Boston region, including being the community presenting sponsor of Boston Seasons at City Hall Plaza and serving as the Official Bank of NESN’s Boston Bruins coverage. In addition, Boston Business Journal named Berkshire Bank one of Massachusetts Most Charitable Companies in 2016.
Executive Vice President of National Production James Iley is thrilled to welcome Gillis to the growing First Choice Loan Services team in the New England region.
“With Berkshire Bank as our parent company, First Choice has been excited to expand and grow in Massachusetts. As the third-largest bank headquartered in Massachusetts with $9.3 billion in assets, Berkshire Bank is already making a great impact in the area, particularly with the employees’ volunteer program which provided 40,000 hours of service with a value of more than $1 million in 2016,” said Iley. “In conjunction with Berkshire Bank and through our boutique-style service, we plan to expand and enhance that with First Choice Loan Services. I’m confident with John Gillis and other respected and strong Loan Originators like him we will provide all of the New England region service beyond belief.”
Gillis earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. When not working, he enjoys time with this wife and four children. Most of that time is spent coaching his children’s sports teams including football, lacrosse, basketball, and track.
