Jewish Family Services to Honor Regional Leaders and Massry Family at the Generations Celebration 

Jewish Family Services (JFS) will honor prominent community leaders and celebrate two decades of flagship senior support programs at its upcoming Generations Celebration on December 3, 2026, at Congregation  Ohav Shalom in Albany. The evening features cocktails, live music, awards, and dinner catered by 518Kosher.

The event honors the memory of longtime JFS executive director Anschel O. Weiss through the presentation of the Anschel Weiss Community Builders Award. Established to recognize individuals who serve humanity with humility, this year’s awards will be presented to Rabbi Dr. Moshe E. Bomzer, LCSW, former New York State Senator Neil D. Breslin, and Gordon N. Zuckerman.

The evening will also recognize the visionary leadership of the Massry Family for their investment in the new JFS Center for Counseling & Resilience and their commitment to securing the agency’s future.
