This forum will focus on the interconnectivity of the technology world and a booming network economy spurred by the internet and telecommunications. As a follow-up to The Business Council’s Annual Meeting and presentations on e-commerce by such companies as IBM, Uber, and Airbnb, this forum will explore the role of technology in a world connecting companies with customers. Panels will explore what the private sector needs in the world of public policy, of paramount importance is small cell technology and its role in bridging consumers to services. The day will also pay particular attention to technology workforce development; cyber security/data breach regulations; procurement reform and best practices; and e-commerce issues, especially in a world in which the network platform has taken a role as never before.
