October 8, 2021In Our Own Voices, Inc., to Host Unity through Diversity Health Conference
Unity Through Diversity is a bi-annual National Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender People of Color (LGBT POC) Health Conference that will be held virtually from November 17-19, 2021. The purpose of the Conference is to lift up the voices of LGBT POC, while promoting social justice, healthy sexuality, violence-free living, social activism and safer spaces.
The Conference will feature presentations, workshops, and panel discussions on the importance of meaningful involvement of LGBT POC and vulnerable subpopulations in our communities on such issues as: policy development and implementation, physical and mental health concerns, innovative and effective intervention methods, and research that addresses and educates people about the health and well-being of LGBT POC.
