IdealHires, a new team of dedicated professionals that connect talented candidates searching for employment, is helping to get the Capital Region back to work by offering free online job listings to area nonprofits in an effort to increase the number of interested candidates looking for full time work. IdealHires will also be offering free listings to other area businesses for a limited time to further the growth and recovery of the region after the pandemic.

IdealHires is a job posting and seeking forum that exists primarily to serve both candidates and employers in our local community. They provide a platform for both parties to find one another and actively communicate about open positions.

“I have seen first hand the struggle organizations are facing to find talent and rebuild their workforce after the pandemic,” said Chris Jenkins, IdealHires Chief Executive Officer. “So I’ve created this local connective tool that will help bridge the gap and rebuild our economy.”

“Nonprofits, like everyone, are really feeling the impact of the workforce shortage,” said Sgt. (Ret.) Leonard Ricchiuti, Albany PAL Executive Director. “We are finding it difficult to compete with larger companies who can justify increasing wages and benefits. IdealHires is helping us fill the gap and work to fill the roles we so desperately need to help keep our children’s programs running.”

“Now more than ever, we need to make it easier for people to get back to work,” said Senator Neil D. Breslin. “I commend IdealHires for offering free job listings to Capital Region nonprofits and helping restrengthen our workforce after the pandemic.”

“It is great to see IdealHires offering free online job listings to area nonprofits in order to make finding and applying for open positions easier and more accessible for Capital Region residents,” said Assemblymember John T. McDonald III. “Job hunting during the COVID-19 pandemic has been challenging to say the least. With Federal Unemployment Benefits set to expire next month helping people conduct a successful job search is more important than ever. This partnership will be a positive step in connecting people with the most timely and relevant job opportunities available for them.”

“As our state and local economy recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, connecting New Yorkers and Capital Region residents with gainful employment is key to that recovery,” said Assemblymember Patricia Fahy. “I commend IdealHires for working to be a part of the Capital Region’s comeback – especially as we look to particularly ensure that youth in our communities have access to real opportunities as they transition into the job market.”

“IdealHires is entering the employment sector at the perfect time,” said County Executive Daniel P. McCoy. “The COVID-19 pandemic was harmful to so many workers, businesses, and non-profits here in Albany County and the services IdealHires offers will help our County get back to work. I commend them for offering free listings to area non-profits to help this region recover.”

“After the unprecedented year and half that we have experienced, now is the time to connect residents to employment opportunities,” said Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan. “Federal Unemployment Benefits are set to expire next month and our residents were among those that experienced significant job loss during COVID. The services being offered by IdealHires will assist local non-profits in a cost effective way to find good employees and help get our residents back to work.”

“I know what it’s like to filter through 500 responses to one post,” said Jenkins, “and I similarly also know what it’s like navigating a large job search company and not experiencing the return on my investment. I do hope to cater to job seekers and employers looking for real change and real results.”

IdealHires is offering free candidate listings indefinitely to nonprofits, and to area businesses for a limited time through October 31, 2021. Nonprofits can explore more here, https://www.idealhires.com/nonprofits. Businesses will use the promo code “back2work” during registration.
