February 26, 2025Hudson Valley Credit Union Launches New HVCU Charitable Foundation
Hudson Valley Credit Union (HVCU) is excited to announce it has established the HVCU Charitable Foundation.
The HVCU Charitable Foundation will foster deeper connections within the community through impactful contributions to local nonprofits. As an official 501(c)(3) organization, the HVCU Charitable Foundation will award grants on an annual basis to organizations whose work provides unique and meaningful support for education, food, health, and housing initiatives. Hudson Valley Credit Union’s Board of Directors recently authorized $3,000,000 from the credit union that will begin an endowment for The Foundation.
Nonprofit organizations may apply to the Foundation’s 2025 Grant period from March 1 – 30. Applications will be accepted at hvcu.org/Foundation.
“As a credit union, HVCU has worked for years to offer our members paths to financial success,” said Jonathan Roberts, Hudson Valley Credit Union President & CEO and a Board Member for the HVCU Charitable Foundation. “Banking products are not the only tools that help people achieve their personal definitions of financial freedom. Challenges in education, food, health, and housing can be barriers and socioeconomic impediments to achieving financial health. We are excited to engage our Charitable Foundation with the nonprofits that are doing exceptional work to improve our communities.”
“Through the HVCU Charitable Foundation, we have the ability to create lasting change in our community for nonprofits and those who rely on their critical services,” said Jay Pantaleo, Chair of the Hudson Valley Credit Union Board of Directors. “The Foundation’s grants will build on the strong impact that HVCU’s community support has provided for many years, creating even more opportunities in the future.”
