Hudson Valley Credit Union Announces Promotion and New Roles

Hudson Valley Credit Union (HVCU) is excited to announce the following leaders:

Julie Barr has been promoted to Vice President and Director, Deposit Operations. In this role, she will oversee departmental strategy execution, resource planning, and cross-functional initiatives to optimize operations within all areas of Deposit Operations. Alongside this, she’s responsible for the strategic direction and operational oversight of Deposit Operations.

Erin Hartnagel has joined HVCU as Vice President and Director of Enterprise Consulting. In this role, Erin is responsible for leading a strategic internal consulting function that partners with executives and business leaders to assess business challenges and functional areas, design solutions, and preparing high-impact projects for intake into execution pipelines. In her most recent role, Erin served as Delivery Director at Backbase, a FinTech company, where she was responsible for engaging with the financial institution’s executives and key stakeholders to understand clients’ strategic goals and objectives, assisting in the sale, cross sale and delivery of U.S. Digital Banking software products and services.

William Lionhood joins HVCU as Vice President and Director of Strategy & Transformation. In this role, William drives HVCU’s strategic initiatives, fostering cross-functional collaboration and leading transformative projects. Alongside this, he aligns business strategies with corporate objectives and ensures successful execution of growth and transformation efforts. In his most recent role, William served as Executive Director and Region Manager of the Fairfax Central District at Wells Fargo Bank. He was responsible for leading, developing, and inspiring a top producing management team in the Fairfax County/Virginia area, which included recruiting a high performing team and implementing a new Net Promoter System and Incentive Plan linked to a Behavior Framework/Coaching Cycle structure.

Joseph Oliva now serves as Vice President and Director, Card & Payments Operations. In this role, Joseph oversees departmental strategy execution, resource planning, and cross-functional initiatives to optimize operations across debit, credit, ACH, wires, and payment services. In addition, he is responsible for the strategic direction and operational oversight of Card & Payment Operations.

Kristen Labulis now serves as Rhinebeck Branch Manager, after serving as Kingston Branch Manager since 2022. In this role, Kristen oversees operations to drive membership acquisitions by strengthening member relations. Additionally, she provides consistent development to staff, setting clear goals, objectives and expectations for the branch.
