August 21, 2025Hudson Valley Credit Union Announces New Hires and New Role
Rehan Kausar has joined HVCU as Senior Vice President, Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer. In this role, Rehan’s responsible for the strategic leadership, development, and enterprise-wide execution of HVCU’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) and generative AI initiatives. Alongside this, he’ll identify, prioritize, and oversee the implementation of high-impact AI use cases across risk management, customer service, and internal operations, ensuring alignment with the credit union’s mission to enhance financial security and member experience. In his most recent role, Rehan served as Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at AI Advantages, LLC, where he empowered Fortune 500 clients to adopt AI-driven, data-ready strategies and implement responsible, scalable AI across the enterprise.
Rebekah Larson has joined HVCU as Kingston Branch Manager. In this role, Rebekah oversees operations to drive membership acquisitions by strengthening member relations. Additionally, she provides consistent development to staff, setting clear goals, objectives and expectations for the branch. In her most recent role, Rebekah served as Branch Manager at Chase, where she was responsible for composing and notating branch action plans and coaching direct reports through development plans.
Brendon Vealey now serves as Green Island Branch Manager, after serving as Clifton Park Branch Manager. In this role, he oversees operations to drive membership acquisitions by strengthening member relations. Additionally, Brendon provides consistent development to staff, setting clear goals, objectives and expectations for the branch.
Ross Tompkins has joined HVCU as Mortgage Loan Originator. In this role, Ross presents and sells specific mortgage loan programs to members and potential members that are appropriate for their individual financial circumstances. Alongside this, he develops new business opportunities through networking and meets or exceeds established member service levels, loan quality and loan production goals. In his most recent role, Ross served as Title Sales Representative at Green Acre Abstract, where he was responsible for sales calls to Realty Offices, Mortgage Brokers and Attorney Offices. He also served as Account Manager at Lendsure Mortgage Corp., where he solicited Lendsure programs to Mortgage Brokers.
