Hubbard Television Group Announces Jon Hitchcock As Vice President/General Manager For WNYT/NBC 13 And MY4 Television Stations

Hubbard Television Group announced today that Jon Hitchcock has been hired as Vice President/General Manager of WNYT/NBC 13 and My4 in Albany, New York.

“WNYT and My4 have a rich history of serving New York’s capital region with a committed team of professionals. For over 25 years, Albany has been a second home for me with family in the area,” says Hitchcock. “I feel extremely fortunate to join Hubbard Broadcasting and build upon its standard of excellence in an area I’m passionate about.”

Jon Hitchcock is currently President and General Manager of TEGNA’s Hartford & New Haven’s Television duopoly, FOX 61 and CW 20 since April 2015. He currently serves on the FOX Television board, Connecticut Broadcasters Association and the Interval House Against Domestic Violence. Before returning to Connecticut, Hitchcock served as President and General Manager for CBS Corporation’s duopoly stations CBS3 and the CW Philly in Philadelphia, PA from 2009. There he earned several distinguished media honors including the Edward Murrow Award. While in Philadelphia he served on several impact boards including the Police Athletic League of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters, Philadelphia Advertising Club, Avenue of the Arts Council, Ronald McDonald House and Alex’s Lemonade Foundation. Before going to Philadelphia, Hitchcock was Vice President and General Manager of WTNH (ABC) and WCTX (MyTV9), in New Haven, CT since April 2002. He was past Chairman of the Connecticut Broadcast Association.

Hitchcock attended Springfield College in Springfield, MA. His wife Carol, three kids and two dogs look forward to relocating in the Albany area where his wife grew up just north of Albany in South Glens Falls. Her whole family still lives in the area and look forward to making Albany their home and being a permanent part of the community.
