October 17, 2018Hounds of Halloween Returns October 20
On Saturday, October 20, the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District (BID) will host the second annual Hounds of Halloween puppy trick-or-treating and costume contest event.
Participating pups and their people will don their spookiest garb for the Costumed Canine Contest and visit businesses throughout downtown Albany for unique Halloween treats. The winner of the costume contest will be determined by public voting through the Downtown Albany BID’s Facebook page following the event.
A $5 suggested donation will benefit the programs of the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society. The first 100 attendees to check in on Saturday will receive an exclusive handmade trick-or-treat tote bag designed by local artisans Breakout Press Co. A map of trick-or-treat stops will be provided. Attendees may register onsite or in advance via Eventbrite.

Another important stop will be the Olde English Downtown Dog Park (located inside Wallenberg Park at the intersection of Broadway, Clinton and N. Pearl Street), with special giveaways available from the Downtown Albany BID, City Beer Hall, and the Fifth Tier Barking Studio.
When: Saturday, October 20, 2018 | 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Where: Trick-or-treating begins and ends at The Olde English Pub & Pantry’s dog-friendly garden patio (683 Broadway). FREE PARKING is available on the street and at the Quackenbush Garage.
