Homewood Suites & Tru by Hilton at Crossgates Celebrated their One-year Anniversary with Fun, Food and Giveaways!

It’s been a year since the first ever dual-branded Homewood Suites & Tru by Hilton (NYSE: HLT) in the country opened its doors right here in Albany to welcome guests. Located onsite at Crossgates, the Capital Region’s largest shopping, dining and entertainment destination, Homewood Suites & Tru by Hilton has seen guests visit from all 50 states and from 30 countries.  Opening on October 4th, 2018, welcoming its first visitors all the way from Australia, this dual-branded hotel has offered guests two brands under one roof, and all just steps away from Crossgates.

With over 180 places to eat, shop, and play, Crossgates attracts more than 20 million visitors each year with destinations such as an 18-screen theatre with IMAX, a concert venue hosting the top touring acts in the country, various entertainment venues for all ages ranging from an indoor trampoline park to a comedy club, over 20 dining selections and a world-class day spa.

“I congratulate Hilton and Crossgates on their remarkable success in providing exceptional lodging and services to visitors,” said Peter G. Barber, Guilderland Town Supervisor.  “I regularly hear from residents and business owners about positive experiences from family and friends staying at the hotels or using meeting facilities.”

“The first year of having our doors open here at the Homewood Suites & Tru by Hilton Crossgates, offering business and leisure travelers visiting Albany with an innovative lodging experience has exceeded our expectations,” said Adam Gollub, General Manager, Aimbridge Hospitality. “The introduction of the newest Hilton brand, Tru, coupled with the Homewood Suites brand under the same roof, has given guests the unique ability to choose which style best fits their needs while traveling through the Capital Region.”

In just a short year, this 192-room hotel has already seen visitors from countries including Canada, Australia, Poland, Belgium, China, France, Turkey, Germany, Indonesia, Lithuania, Greece, Malaysia, Japan, Peru, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

“As we work towards making the Capital Region not only an amazing place to live, work and raise a family, but also a destination for tourism and commerce, it requires partnerships with businesses like Hilton and Crossgates,” said Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy. “I’d like to congratulate them both on an exciting milestone with many more to come, because their success compliments the improvements and important features in Albany County, including the Albany Airport, the Times Union Center and the Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail.”
