August 17, 2016Hip Hop Concert Friday at Albany Public Library
Albany Public Library’s Garage Bands in the Garage concert series returns this Friday with Hip Hop Night. The free, all-ages concert features Beat*Shot artists Sev Statik, DJ Trumastr, JB!!, Masai, Anneice, and DJ Nate Da Great. The hip hop concert is Friday, Aug. 19, at 6 pm in the parking lot behind the Washington Ave. Branch (off Elk St.).
The event also includes a clothing swap. Attendees are welcome to bring new or gently worn clothing to swap with others. All clothing is free, and participation is optional. Any extra clothing brought to the event will be donated by Beat*Shot Productions to the Homeless Action Committee and the Capital City Rescue Mission.
The Garage Bands concert also features a $1 CD garage sale. And for Pokémon Go fans, the Washington Ave. Branch is a certified Pokéstop and Beat*Shot Productions will be dropping lures there at 6 pm.
