August 7, 2017A High School Student’s Adventures in Morocco
On Tuesday, August 15, 2017, Elizabeth “Lizzy” Canavan will be describing a trip to Rabat Morocco, sponsored in part by Niskayuna Rotary. While in Morocco, she was given the opportunity to work with children, to help renovate their school, and to teach them English! Also, she was able to work on her Arabic, which she currently takes in high school. Lizzy tells us that it was an incredible experience and that she is looking forward to sharing her adventures with all of us. All high school students interested in cultural travel, are invited and encouraged to attend. Niskayuna Rotary meets every Tuesday morning, 7:15 to 8:15 AM at the Blue Ribbon Restaurant & Bakery, 1801 State St (Route 5). The public is always welcome.
