Accepting Applications for the Healthy Alliance 2022-2023 Changemaker Fund

Healthy Alliance is excited to begin the application process for the 2022-2023 Changemaker Fund in partnership with United Way of the Greater Capital Region! We are accepting applications now through October 3rd.

The Changemaker Fund offers one-year unrestricted awards of twenty-five thousand dollars to BIPOC-led community-based organizations throughout the Capital Region. Changemakers are organizations whose work addresses wide-ranging systemic inequities, including mental health, women and LGBTQ rights, food security and sovereignty, housing, youth and child success, and economic wellbeing.

Eligible organizations must be led by a person who identifies as Black, Indigenous, Person of Color; a 501c3 or community-based organization with a fiscal sponsor; operating on an annual budget of under $350,000; and operating in Albany, Columbia, Greene, Montgomery, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, and/or Rensselaer County. This year, your organization does not need to be a partner of Healthy Alliance to apply. You can find all the eligibility criteria and apply here.

RFPs need to be submitted by 11:30pm on October 3rd through United Way’s online grant portal.

If your organization meets the eligibility criteria: We encourage you to apply! The work you do helps to create the social change needed in our communities, and we want to help you continue the important work you do. This Fund will have multiple awardees, so we encourage you to share this opportunity with any organization you work closely with too.

If your organization does not meet the eligibility criteria: Please help us spread the word about this funding opportunity to create needed social change. If you know of any organizations that may be eligible, we ask that you to share this information with them.
