Tully Rinckey PLLC and Headstrong were thrilled to make a major announcement at the University at Albany Massry Center for Business on Thursday March 15th. Tully Rinckey PLLC, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOB), introduced Headstrong to the Albany veteran community and hosted the event. Headstrong Executive Director Joe Quinn and Clinical Director Gerard Ilaria told onlookers that the program will now offer free mental health care to veterans in the Albany area! Headstrong, founded in 2012 by combat veterans, provides cost-free, stigma-free and bureaucracy-free mental health care to military veterans.
Headstrong has developed a first of its kind treatment program for Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS); addiction treatment; anxiety and depression; trauma; grief and loss; Military Sexual Trauma (MST), and anger management.
Clinical Director Gerard Ilaria says the therapy technique called EMDR has shown great success at treating combat related traumatic memories.
