The law firm of Hacker Murphy, LLP is pleased to welcome Jillian Kavanaugh and Grace Sgambettera, both from Albany Law School, as its newest law clerks—each bringing a distinct background and valuable perspective to the firm’s legal team.
A graduate of SUNY Geneseo with a major in English and a minor in Legal Studies, Kavanaugh brings a strong foundation in communication and advocacy to her role. A rising second-year student at Albany Law School, Class of 2027, she he has served as a 1L Representative for the Criminal Law Society and volunteers with both the Matrimonial and Family Law Pro Bono Project and the Moot Court program. Outside of law school, Jillian enjoys cooking and exploring the outdoors with her new puppy.
At Albany Law School, Sgambettera is a rising third-year student, Class of 2026. Originally from Cambridge, New York, she plans to build her legal career in the Capital Region with a strong focus on both criminal and civil litigation. Before beginning law school, Grace worked in the film and entertainment industry, bringing a unique perspective and creative approach to her legal work. Her diverse background informs her ability to think outside the box and approach legal challenges with creativity and insight.
