Schenectady County Public Library (SCPL) will once again offer the fun and educational SCIENCE IN THE SUMMER™ programs, thanks in part to our partnership with The Museum of Innovation and Science (miSci) and GSK. PHYSCIAL SCIENCE will take our youth on a journey of understanding the worlds of magnetism, electricity and sound.
The SCIENCE IN THE SUMMER™ National Program is sponsored by GSK, administered by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and held in partnership with The Museum of Innovation and Science (miSci) in Schenectady.
SCIENCE IN THE SUMMER™: PHYSICAL SCIENCE will be offered at all nine of our Schenectady County Public Library locations, experienced over two days of learning and broken out into two age groups.
On Mondays, August 15 and August 22, our Central Library at 99 Clinton Street will be holding their programs. Level 1, which encompasses children in Grades 2-3, will take place at 10:00am on both days, while the Level 2 class for those in Grades 4-6 will occur at 2:00pm. Children must attend both age-based, level-specific sessions. Children wishing to participate must have their parent/guardian register them ahead of by contacting SCPL’s Central Library in person or by calling 518.388.4540.
