GlobalFoundries (Nasdaq: GFS) (GF), announced that the GF-Town of Malta Foundation is proud to be accepting grant applications for the fourteenth consecutive year for its next round of funding to support local community organizations. Applications for grant funding can be submitted electronically or may be downloaded and mailed to the Foundation by October 31, 2024. The Foundation manages an investment fund that enables annual grants to organizations, programs and projects that provide tangible benefits of a public nature to diverse groups serving the citizens of the Town of Malta including not-for-profit corporations, charitable organizations, community arts and theater groups, community historical sites, special events, education programs, and sports and recreation activities.
“Every year, the GF-Town of Malta Foundation supports the local community by showcasing the outstanding efforts of organizations dedicated to serving Malta and its neighboring areas,” stated Admar Semedo, president of the GF-Town of Malta Foundation. “We seek out projects that are creative, innovative, and inclusive, aiming to provide the greatest benefit to the broader Malta community. The Foundation Board and organization representatives welcome 2024 grant applications for a range of projects and programs that contribute to and enrich our region.”
Last year in 2023, the Foundation distributed $144,331 benefiting 30 local organizations and community projects. Overall, the Foundation has invested more than $1.9M in the Malta community in the last 14 years. A comprehensive listing of previous grant winners is available here.
