Global Professional Services Firm Expands in Albany

Deloitte officially opened new, larger offices at 111 Washington Avenue in downtown Albany to accommodate its growing portfolio of clients and its expanding local workforce.

The firm will continue to expand its local team as part of its New York growth strategy and to better meet the needs of public and private sector clients located in the Capital District. “The strategic location of the new office allows Deloitte to be closer to our many New York State clients, and the investment demonstrates our long-term commitment to doing business in and with New York State,” said Tab Warlitner, Principal, Deloitte Consulting and Lead Client Service Partner for the State of New York. “We have leading capabilities on a national level but focusing more resources locally will enable us to deliver more value and responsiveness to our clients here,” adds Warlitner.

Deloitte opened its first office in New York in 1890 and has its Global and US Headquarters there still today. The firm currently employs more than 275,000 professionals worldwide, 100,000 nationally, and 6,000 across six offices in New York State. They provide a broad array of consulting services to many of America’s largest corporations as well as federal, state, and local governments. Deloitte also offers audit and assurance, tax, risk and financial advisory services.

A recognized leader of top talent, Deloitte is an organization where people can focus on development, flexibility, and well-being. The firm hires people who are among the best and brightest with a culture of inclusion, collaboration, high performance, and opportunity. “As part of building a sustainable local presence, we are committed to building a top-caliber locally-based workforce and also to making a meaningful impact in our local community. Our new office space is symbolic of that long-term aspiration and commitment,” said Erin Reuss-Hannafin, Deloitte Consulting Principal and Albany Office Managing Partner.
As part of Deloitte’s investment in the region, the firm has supported a number of local organizations and charities including: Proctor’s, Make-A-Wish, Susan G. Komen Foundation, CDPHP Challenge, Folds of Honor, Stratton VA Hospital, St. Anne’s Institute, Alzheimer’s Foundation, and the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.

“Today is a great day in the Capital District and we are thrilled to add another marquis tenant to our signature downtown Albany property,” said Nancy Carey-Cassidy, COO of Picotte Companies.
