GlennPeter Jewelers Diamond Centre and The Food Pantries Team Up to Fight Hunger

Enjoy an evening of shopping for your Valentine while helping to fight hunger in our Capital District community on Friday, February 3 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at GlennPeter Jewelers Diamond Center, 1544 Central Avenue, Albany.

The Food Pantries will be honoring Kelly Mateja with the first annual “Helping Heart Award.” Kelly is the founder of the Morning of Kindness, an event that takes place on the morning of December 24, during which nearly 500 volunteer Capital Region Ambassadors of Kindness visit the communities, food pantries, and nonprofits of the Capital Region to spread the joy of giving. We will also be honoring Ben Boswell with the first Young Ambassador Helping Fight Hunger Award. Ben is an active volunteer with the Mt. Ida Community Food Pantry and the Team Captain of the AOW CANstruction Team.

Tickets for the event are $20 for individuals and $35 for pairs. Ticket price includes admission, hot and cold hors d’oeuvres and musical entertainment. Guests will have an opportunity to take part in a Mikimoto pearl earring raffle, receive 20% off of all purchases made that evening, cash bar, and a chance to win the grand prize of a Wine Tasting for 40 people valued at $1,500.
