Fulmont and Schenectady Community Action Agencies Partner in Support of Mohawk Valley ERN

Fulmont Community Action Agency is proud to announce their partnership with Schenectady Community Action Program in support of the development of the newly formed Mohawk Valley Employer Resource Network (MVERN).

The Mohawk Valley ERN represents an innovative approach to helping under-resourced and high-stressed employees by bringing together motivated local businesses to provide job retention services, work supports, and training opportunities. The ERN is an employer-based model that seeks to improve workplace culture by increasing employee retention rates while enhancing employee engagement.

Fulmont Community Action Agency will play a key role in providing resource support, referral access and community connection in direct collaboration with SCAP. Fulmont has 14 access points spread throughout Fulton and Montgomery Counties, which will provide ease of access and no wrong door for MVERN customers and SCAP staff in barrier resolution efforts.

For over three decades, SCAP has operated Project LIFT at Fulton-Montgomery Community College, providing job training assistance to unemployed and underemployed individuals. The MVERN model operates as a natural extension and deepening of these job retention and training opportunities. With a focus on prioritizing the needs of the community and a commitment to innovation, SCAP’s ability to successfully serve the people of Fulton and Montgomery Counties will be greatly enhanced by MVERN.
